Job summary

Cairnn Immigration Law Associates invites an Associate Attorney to join our Gainesville, GA office and handle an immigration caseload from start to finish. The successful candidate will work with paralegals and legal assistants to develop case strategies and guide clients through hearings before Immigration Court and USCIS.

Required JD plus Georgia Bar license or reciprocity eligibility; strong research/writing, and excellent client communication are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of immigration matters from intake through resolution.
  • Develop legal strategies and individualized case plans based on client circumstances.
  • Represent clients in Immigration Court hearings and USCIS interviews.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze relevant immigration laws and regulations.
  • Draft motions, briefs, petitions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to keep cases progressing.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding status, strategy, and next steps.
  • Provide clear legal guidance throughout the immigration process.

Location: Gainesville, GA – Full-Time, Onsite

Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000+, based on experience

Required: Juris Doctor (JD) + Active Georgia Bar License or Eligibility for Reciprocity

About The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, locally owned law firm focused on Immigration and Nationality Law, Criminal Defense, and Family Law.

The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Gainesville, Georgia office and manage an immigration law caseload from start to finish.

This role is ideal for an attorney who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and passionate about advocating for immigrant communities. You'll work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to develop case strategies, guide clients through the legal process, and represent them before Immigration Courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

What You'll Do
  • Manage a caseload of immigration matters from initial intake through resolution
  • Develop legal strategies and individualized case plans based on each client's circumstances
  • Represent clients in Immigration Court hearings and USCIS interviews
  • Conduct legal research and analyze relevant immigration laws and regulations
  • Draft motions, briefs, petitions, and other legal documents
  • Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to keep cases progressing efficiently
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and next steps
  • Provide clear legal guidance throughout the immigration process
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and deadlines
  • Deliver professional, compassionate, and culturally sensitive representation
What You'll Bring
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
