Job description

An established and mission-driven immigration law firm is seeking a skilled and passionate Immigration Attorney to join its team in a full-time, remote capacity based in Seattle, WA. This role involves representing clients in removal proceedings, USCIS interviews, and handling complex immigration matters from intake through resolution. The attorney will also collaborate with legal support teams and help shape legal operations consistent with firm values. Location:

Seattle, WA

Duties:

Oversee full case lifecycle from strategy to completion with minimal supervision

Meet with clients to determine legal strategies based on their goals and current laws

Represent detained and non-detained clients in Immigration Court and removal proceedings

Attend USCIS interviews and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony

Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and immigration applications

Collaborate with staff to implement protocols, workflows, and case-related policies

Serve as a key liaison in managing legal team operations and client relations

Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties as appropriate

Provide regular case status updates to firm leadership

Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and accountability

Requirements:

1–3 years of experience practicing immigration law (preferred)

Strong ability to manage full caseloads independently

Effective communicator with sound judgment and strong follow-through

Comfortable in decision-making roles within a defined specialty

Able to meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Open to collaboration and contributing to firm-wide improvements

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the United States (Bar admission required)

In good standing with the licensing authority

Skills:

Deep knowledge of immigration law (e.g., asylum, family petitions, waivers, removal defense)

High attention to detail and organizational excellence

Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills

Leadership ability and willingness to guide team members by example

Familiarity with legal software and case management tools

Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities

Adaptable, empathetic, and culturally sensitive in client interactions
