Job summary

OpenVenture is seeking a Junior Immigration Attorney to join our growing practice in the U.S. immigration space, focusing on employment-based matters and building hands-on experience early in your career.

You will evaluate client profiles, draft petitions and supporting documents, and work with a team of attorneys and paralegals to deliver high-quality legal work efficiently. This role emphasizes growth, ownership, and client communication within a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 0–3 years of legal experience.
• Immigration experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Comfortable learning quickly and taking ownership.
• Interest in immigration, technology, startups, and AI.

Responsibilities

• O-1A, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, H-1B, L-1, and other employment-based immigration matters.
• Evaluating client profiles and developing case strategies.
• Drafting petitions, legal arguments, recommendation letters, and RFE responses.
• Reviewing evidence and helping clients strengthen their cases.
• Communicating directly with clients throughout the immigration process.
• Conducting immigration research and staying current on USCIS developments.
• Working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and case teams.
• Using technology and AI-enabled tools to improve research, drafting, workflows, and client experience.
