Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation, personal injury, tribal law or patent law is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in litigation or settlements.
  • Excellent drafting and written communication skills for legal documents.
  • Proficient in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
  • Prior experience in a law office setting is desirable.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings, advising on legal rights and obligations, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.


Responsibilities


  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.

  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.

  • Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.

  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes amicably when possible.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings as necessary.

  • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.

  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients’ cases.


Requirements


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the state bar association and active license to practice law.

  • Proven experience in one or more areas of practice such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, or patent law is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in litigation or settlement negotiations.

  • Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.

  • Proficient in conducting legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.

  • Prior experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is required.
