Welcome Law Firm is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney to handle a diverse immigration caseload from consultation through resolution in an in-office capacity across CT locations including Waterbury and Stamford. You will represent clients in court, manage family-based matters, and collaborate with a team dedicated to exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited law school with 2+ years of immigration experience, including removal proceedings, and strong

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of immigration law experience.
• Experience representing clients in removal proceedings.
• Experience handling family-based immigration matters (marriage-based, fiancé(e), VAWA, U Visas, SIJS).
• Strong client counseling, communication and advocacy skills.
• Adaptable and receptive to feedback; able to work within established systems.
• Team-oriented with commitment to exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse immigration caseload from consultation through resolution.
• Represent clients in immigration court and removal proceedings.
• Handle family-based immigration matters including petitions and naturalization.
• Conduct consultations with prospective clients in person and by phone.
• Prepare filings, supporting documentation, and correspondence.
• Travel occasionally to satellite CT offices to meet clients/colleagues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional client service.
