Job summary

American University, Washington College of Law, seeks a Practitioner-in-Residence for AY 26-27 in the Immigrant Justice Clinic. Practitioners supervise student casework, co-teach weekly clinic seminars and case rounds, and engage in course planning with the clinic’s tenured faculty.

Qualifications

• JD degree with outstanding academic record.
• Three years of legal practice experience.
• Experience teaching or supervising clinical legal education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student casework in the clinic.
• Co-teach weekly clinic seminars and case rounds.
• Collaborate with tenured faculty on course planning and preparation.
• Teach a course outside the clinical curriculum.
