Job summary

Rail Events Productions seeks a Lighting Technician/Operator for THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride in Perris, CA. This seasonal, on-site role installs, operates and maintains all lighting systems in collaboration with the Lighting Designer and production team.

Duties include load-in, rehearsals, and post-show reset, with occasional cross-functional support. You will work evenings/weekends, travel domestically if needed, and contribute to a safe, professional on-train environment emphasizing the

Qualifications

• Experience as theatrical/entertainment lighting technician/electrician.
• Experience with programming and operating ETC software and consoles (EOS/ION).
• Ability to work with production staff as a team member in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and effective oral/written communication.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends; travel domestically; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain lighting systems with the production staff.
• Operate, maintain, and repair lighting throughout the event duration.
• Incorporate last-minute changes with director and production staff during rehearsals.
• Assist audio technicians with sound systems as needed.
• Ensure the venue is restored post-event according to policy.
• Maintain lighting designs per the national production guidance; ensure safety policies.
