Job summary

Rail Events Productions Inc. in New Orleans seeks a Lighting Technician/Operator for THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride. Install, operate, and maintain all lighting systems during pre-production and run, under supervision of Production Electricians and on-site managers.

The role requires theatrical lighting experience and familiarity with ETC EOS/ION software. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and travel domestically. Seasonal, non-exempt hourly role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience as theatrical/entertainment lighting system technician/electrician.
• Experience with programming and operating ETC software and consoles (EOS/ION).

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain lighting systems.
• Operate, maintain, and repair lighting during event duration.
• Work with director and staff during rehearsals for last-minute changes.
• Assist audio technicians with sound systems as needed.
• Load out to restore event space.
• Ensure lighting designs align with production vision.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to a positive team environment.
