Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an Immersive Simulation Technician to support and maintain immersive simulation equipment and materials at the Lake Mary site. The role includes assisting learners and faculty with simulation activities, preparing lab experiences, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have a related diploma or certification and 2+ years patient care experience. FL LPN/RN licensure is helpful but not required; on-site schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have granted diploma or certification relevant to background (e.g., medical assistant diploma).
• Two or more years of patient care experience (e.g., Paramedic, Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, RN, LPN, Simulation Technician).
• Unencumbered FL LPN or RN licensure or FL certification helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to ensure all immersive simulation equipment runs properly.
• Provide technical operational support for all systems and equipment related to immersive simulation.
• Assist with training faculty in the use of simulation equipment and serve as a resource for faculty utilizing simulation.
• Collaborate with the Director of Lab to maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for simulation.
• Assist in props placement and moulage setup to create a virtual healthcare setting.
• Develop and assist with scenarios used for simulation experiences.
