Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Jacksonville is seeking an Immersive Simulation Technician to support, maintain, and optimize immersive simulation equipment for lab experiences. You will assist learners and faculty, ensure equipment operates smoothly, and help develop simulation scenarios.

The role requires a relevant diploma or certification and two years of patient care experience. FL LPN/RN licensure is helpful but not required; onsite schedule with full benefits including tuition package is

Qualifications

• Must have granted diploma or certification relative to background experience (e.g., medical assistant diploma).
• Two or more years of patient care experience in a clinical healthcare setting, e.g., Paramedic, Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, RN, LPN, or simulation technician.
• Unencumbered FL LPN or RN licensure or FL certification helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to ensure immersive simulation equipment runs properly and efficiently.
• Provide technical operational support for all systems and equipment related to immersive simulation.
• Assist with training faculty in the use of simulation equipment and serve as a resource for faculty utilizing simulation.
• Collaborate with the Director of Lab to maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist in props placement and moulage setup to create a virtual healthcare setting.
• Assist with development of simulation scenarios.
