Job summary

d'strict is seeking a Technical Operations Team Leader for ARTE MUSEUM in New York. This onsite role requires managing media equipment for digital content and live events, coordinating the system team, and ensuring reliable AV operations at the NY museum.

You will install, configure, and maintain projectors, video monitors, sound systems, and related facilities; heavy equipment lifting is required and after-hours work is common due to museum hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility and electronic equipment and exhibition facilities maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of video content management systems and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
• Ability to work at flexible workdays and hours due to museum hours; maintenance after hours and night work.
• Food handler card must be obtained prior to employment.
• High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• System Management and Team Coordination: oversee the system team’s command and activities.
• Participate in problem-solving and support team skill development.
• Manage Audio/Video equipment and facility maintenance for smooth operation.
• Monitor and resolve issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain beam projectors, computers, media servers, CCTV and exhibition facilities.
• Create and execute a maintenance plan.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish tasks.
• Repair or troubleshoot outages as possible and report to management.
