Job summary

Midnight Mansion is seeking a full-time, in-person software developer for our flagship venue in Needham, MA. You will design and implement front-end systems using React and TypeScript, and work with hardware like Arduino/Raspberry Pi as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of experience with React/TypeScript/Node.js, comfort with distributed systems, and a passion for immersive location-based entertainment. This role is on-site with flexible hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must commute to Needham, MA studio (and Somerville, MA occasionally).
• 2+ years of experience with React/TypeScript/Node.js.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Enthusiasm for location-based entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing user-friendly front-end systems.
• Working in distributed and concurrent systems.
• Prototyping and testing puzzles, props, and interactions with the public.
