Marathon Staffing is seeking qualified Welders candidates for a position available in Rowesville, SC!

The Maintenance Mechanic will be assisting with basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, and assists other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building tasks. Various welding tasks and projects will be assigned within the Maintenance department and facility.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs regular and preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and buildings.
• Assists in the repair of woodworking machinery, in feed/out feed systems, and hand tools in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
• Welding and fabricating when necessary, as well as assisting others with the process.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other initiatives.
• If assigned to the Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices.
• Prepares various reports as required and any other duties that are requested on a day-to-day basis.
