Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for Pre-K to 5th grade or 20+ for 6th–12th grade
• Proof of 60 college hours or passing ETS ParaPro/ACT Work Keys
• Ability to perform all job-related functions
• Ability to follow verbal or written directions
• Ability to communicate and maintain good working relationships
• Physical and TB test
• Must take CPI course and refresher courses

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with students in the classroom
• Supervise students in lunchroom, playground, and during bus arrivals/departures
• Use copying machine under teacher supervision to prepare classroom materials
• Assist with feeding and toileting of students requiring total care
• Assist with lifting and positioning of non-ambulatory students
• Assist student with self-help skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

Illinois Teaching Licensure
