Job Overview:

Reporting to the IMM Supply Chain Manager, the IMM Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for executing daily cycle counts, ensuring all items are accurately counted and performed according to documented procedures, communicate and engage effectively with DMS team members and escalate and report issues appropriately.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  1. Execute daily cycle counts, ensuring that all items are accurately counted and performed according to documented procedures.
  2. Ensure all count documents are completed and reported in a timely manner.
  3. Document and report any non-conformance to material handling processes to the IMM Supply Chain Manager.
  4. Participate as a QRCI team member for variances greater than 5%.
  5. Assist in the audit/tracking of permanent corrective action tasks.
  6. Review transaction reporting processes (Production, Transfers, Scrap) to ensure that all production activity is reported and processed in a timely manner, ensuring up-to-date and accurate balances on hand.
  7. Audit production processes to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  8. Participate in team meetings, providing input to documentation of build plans and actions.
  9. Work to ensure program requirements and upgrades are supported.
  10. Provide input and help maintain processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement in support of program requirements.
  11. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and/or qualifications:

  1. Associates Degree preferred with a desire for a career in Production Control / Supply Chain.
  2. Experience in production in industrial environments (automotive preferred).
  3. Skilled problem solver; mathematically adept.
  4. Computer literate and experienced in all facets of materials scheduling, planning, and inventory control techniques.
  5. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  6. An understanding of Injection Molding preferred.
  7. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  8. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  9. Integrity – adhering to high ethical principles and professional standards.
  10. Trustworthiness – Being honest, dependable, and earning the confidence of others.
