Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA is seeking a nursing student for a temporary position to work alongside an RN, providing direct patient care and support under supervision.

Requirements include final RN program year and BLS within 30 days. You will assist with ADLs, perform procedures, observe and report patient status, and maintain a safe, clean environment. 36 hours weekly; non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Must be entering final semester/year of Diploma/Associate/Baccalaureate RN program.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the RN with direct patient care to promote comfort and aid procedures.
• Assists the patient with activities of daily living as needed.
• Performs designated procedures per department procedure.
• Observes, records, and reports patient concerns to the RN promptly.
• Assists RN with examinations and procedures as directed.
• Demonstrates competence in basic and intermediate care under supervision.
• Educates self and assists in peer education; seeks learning opportunities.
