Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for IMCU on a part-time night shift. This role provides patient care in an intermediate care unit within a hospital setting, with a sign-on bonus eligible and competitive benefits as part of NM's patient-first culture.

The RN BSN will perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe discharge planning and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsabilités

• Performs a comprehensive assessment on all assigned patients with complete documentation.
• Communicates changes in patient’s condition promptly.
• Uses nursing diagnosis and assessment data to derive realistic outcomes and documents them as measurable goals on the plan of care; modifies care plan as needed.
• Identifies and prioritizes patient needs and/or nursing diagnoses for patients and documents.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and other members of the health care team when planning patient care and documents accordingly. Assesses discharge planning and makes appropriate referrals.
• Evaluates and documents the patient response to nursing interventions and alters the plan of care as necessary, including discharge planning and referrals.
