Job summary

Salem Health’s Intermediate Care Unit is seeking a qualified RN to provide high-level patient care in a 12-hour shift pattern from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. The role includes advanced monitoring, collaboration with multiple specialties, and care from admission through discharge.

Candidates must have a BSN or BA with MSN (ADN/diploma RN accepted with agreement to complete BSN/MSN within three years) and an Oregon RN license, plus BLS and one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN or BA with MSN; ADN/diploma RN also considered with commitment to complete BSN/MSN within three years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Current unencumbered RN license in Oregon.
• One year of nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate, ongoing, age-appropriate assessments for each patient.
• Reports and consults pertinent data with the healthcare team and takes action.
• Delivers care based on the individualized patient care plan.
• Follows hospital policies for nursing skills.
• Collaborates with patients and families to address holistic needs and care plans.
• Adjusts care plans as patient condition evolves.
• Documents assessments, plans, interventions, and responses clearly.
• Maintains a safe unit environment following infection control policies.
