Job summary
Baylor Scott & White Health in College Station is seeking a Registered Nurse for our IMCU/Telemetry unit to deliver comprehensive care to adults with complex cardiac conditions. This full-time night position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) involves assessing patients, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality.
You will monitor telemetry, implement individualized care plans, document accurately in the EMR, educate patients and families,
Qualifications
- RN license is required and must be current.
- Grad of an Accredited Program in nursing.
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans for adults with cardiac, stroke and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Monitor telemetry and recognize rhythm changes, communicate with the care team.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensure patient safety, and document in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions.
