Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a registered nurse with experience in IMCU/Stepdown or PCU and 2+ years in inpatient acute care Medical-Surgical settings. You will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver professional nursing care, conduct assessments, support education, and maintain medical records, with a focus on high-quality, compassionate patient experiences.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; Texas RN license and BLS are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas RN license or temporary/compact license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: RN levels 1–10 years with defined progression; strong communication and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions for patient care.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team and delegates tasks to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans and coordinates treatment plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement, and patient experience initiatives.
• Adheres to regulatory and Memorial Hermann standards and promotes safe care for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Supports professional growth and may serve as a preceptor or resource to junior staff.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by delivering compassionate, personalized and efficient care.
