Job summary

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist (Logistics Section Chief Type 1) to provide oversight and coordination of Federal support for facilities, services, and materials during disasters. This role is part of the IMAT program and is a 2-year temporary appointment within the Excepted service.

When deployed, you will develop and implement the IAP, supervise branches in the Logistics Section, and ensure the organizational structure is ICS compliant.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and coordination of Federal support for facilities, services, and materials to meet disaster needs.
• Develop and implement the Incident Action Plan (IAP) and activate/supervise branches in the Logistics Section.
• Coordinate logistics with FEMA Headquarters, detachments, Regions, and interagency partners.
• Guide and ensure ICS-compliant structure, staffing, and policy considerations.
