Job summary

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist (External Support Branch Director Type 2) for Region Seven’s IMAT Team. The role supports responder camps, housing operations, staging areas, and external facility coordination during incidents.

It requires deployment flexibility and may involve extensive travel and recall. This is a 2-year temporary appointment in the Excepted service, with telework eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Logistics Management Specialist for Region Seven, Response Division, IMAT Branch.
• Coordinate staging area functions and determine initial staging requirements with section chiefs and state partners.
• Provide logistics support to Mass Care, housing, and external facility coordination efforts.
• Participate in exercises and training as required; support development of regional catastrophic plans.
