Job Overview:
Under the direction of the radiologist and supervision of the department manager/supervisor, this position is responsible for working effectively with patients and family to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complying with infection prevention procedures, providing clerical support, maintaining accurate records, care of equipment, coordination with technologists, and the flow of patients throughout the department. Responsibilities include patient observation, patient transport, assisting patients with personal needs, recognizing status changes, and calling for appropriate assistance, as well as being available for other duties as needed. This person must be enrolled in an imaging program or field of study.

Job Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an approved program for a specific field of study in Allied Health.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
CPR certification.
Radiation Safety training.
Up to 1 year experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Comply with infection prevention procedures, utilizing safety and reliability practices and standards, and uphold all other compliance protocols and practices.
Demonstrate flexibility and/or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments.
Support team and department operations by assisting with care of equipment and coordinating with technologists the flow of patients throughout the process. Assist other team members when their assignment is slow, find work to do in the department or flex off if needed.
Work effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, schedule patient appointments, perform patient observation, transport patients, and assist patients with personal needs. Recognize status changes, call for appropriate assistance, and notify the manager as appropriate.
Participate in ensuring reliable performance and assessment of equipment, performing required daily and monthly quality control procedures prior to use. Recognize the need for corrective action and notify the Supervisor.
