Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technician to work with Providers in diagnosing and treating patients using diagnostic imaging. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, performing radiology tests, and maintaining radiology equipment to support high-quality imaging results.

Experience in providing direct patient care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy and ability to operate radiologic equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiology practices.
Follow radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and staff.
Sterilize and maintain radiographic equipment and report equipment failures.
Calibrate equipment to ensure clear images in the area specified by the doctor.
Monitor patient safety during imaging procedures.
Position patients and equipment to obtain correct images.
Prepare and educate patients about imaging procedures.
Document procedures and data in the computer.
Review patient charts for imaging procedures.
