Qualifications

• Registered Radiographer with the State of Louisiana or registry eligible
• CEU requirements per Louisiana State Board of Radiology Technologists
• Cat Scan certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in the Radiology Department
• Ensure safe contrast media administration
• Evaluate orders for proper requisition and CT scanner selection
• Document patient history and requisition details
• Perform routine scheduled CT exams in a timely fashion
• Provide assessment and plan patient care
• Educate patient/family and ensure age-specific care
• Practice radiation protection and quality improvement
• Communicate patient safety and workflow issues to peers and supervisor
