Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Imaging Technologist to perform MRI examinations at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, covering inpatient and outpatient services. You will welcome patients, assist radiologists, and maintain safety standards while producing quality images.

The role requires NYS X-ray license, ARRT certification, and relevant Radiologic Technology training, with an evening shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday, on-site in Brooklyn. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State X-ray License required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform MRI examinations.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assist radiologists and physicians during exams as needed.
• Assess patient condition and ensure safety during imaging procedures.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images while adhering to safety standards.

In this role, the Imaging Technologist is responsible for the preparation and execution of primarily MRI services. You’ll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff & assist radiologists and other physicians in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, produce good quality radiographic images, & ensure adherence to safety standards. This position will primarily cover MRI.

Shift

Evening (United States of America)

This is a full-time position, working 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday. This position will cover Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (BMH) inpatient and outpatient services, and Center for Community Health (CCH) coverage as needed.

Preferred Criteria

• N.Y. State Department of Health IV Certification
• ARRT Advanced Modality certification
• At least 1 year of experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited program in the school of Radiologic Technology
• N.Y. State Department of Health X-ray License
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification
