Job summary

Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) invites an MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in New York. This per diem weekend role uses GE MRI systems to support high-quality diagnostic imaging.

You will ensure patient safety, deliver accurate images, and collaborate with clinicians in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment that values precision and compassionate care. On-site availability is required; NY state licensure and ARRT credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License with Intravascular Contrast Media Injection
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
• Ability to maintain NYS and ARRT continuing education and credential renewal requirements
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality specific software

Responsibilities

• Perform MR examinations using GE imaging systems in outpatient settings.
• Support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and research.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images with safety and patient comfort in mind.
• Collaborate within a high-quality outpatient imaging team.

Preferred Criteria

• One year experience in Diagnostic Imaging
• Previous relevant experience in MRI

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License with Intravascular Contrast Media Injection
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
• Ability to maintain all New York State and ARRT continuing education and credential renewal requirements
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality specific software
