Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System in Zanesville, Ohio, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will ensure diagnostic image quality and follow safety policies while supporting physicians and patients.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, assisting with contrast media, using HIS/RIS/PACS, and participating in training of radiology students.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (or equivalent) in radiography and licensed by the State of Ohio.
• Competence in all diagnostic radiographic procedures performed at this facility.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
• Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of computer software related to electronic imaging and clinical information management.
• CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Operates all imaging equipment to complete a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Produces acceptable images by determining proper technical factors based on individual patients and procedures.
• Follows all radiation protection and radiation safety policies.
• Assists physicians in radiographic imaging procedures as required.
• Prepares, assists, and administers contrast media under the direction of a physician.
• Uses HIS, RIS, PACS systems to process and access department and patient information.
• Assists in transportation of patients to and from the department.
• Participates in providing education and information to patients and their families.
• Participates in clinical training of radiology students by providing instruction and supervision.
• Assumes call status during off hours for emergencies.
• Participates in quality assurance/quality control activities.
