Details

+ Department: Diagnostic Radiology

+ Schedule: Part Time Evening Shift - 32 hours per week. Rotating weekdays and every other weekend.

+ Week A: Mon (10:00PM to 6:30AM), Tues & Thurs (6:00PM to 6:30AM)

+ Week B: Tues (6:00PM to 6:30AM), Fri & Sat (9:00PM to 7:30AM)

+ Hospital: St Francis

+ Location: Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities

1. Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
2. Prepare and position patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.
3. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
4. Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
5. Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
6. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
7. Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

1. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
2. Licensed Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
3. Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

1. High School diploma required. Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Work Experience:

1. Previous work experience as an Imaging Tech preferred.
