Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) operates MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care in West Ashley, SC, seeking an experienced radiologic technologist for a part-time night position. The role involves performing X-ray and CT imaging, maintaining patient safety, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images under supervision.

Minimum 2 years of diagnostic imaging experience is required, with ARRT and SCRQSA registration and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum 2 years of diagnostic imaging & CT experience.
• Must be ARRT and SCRQSA registered; current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for X-ray and CT.
• Provide exceptional patient care and ensure comfort and safety during imaging.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and answer questions to promote cooperation.
• Verify patient information and ensure proper preparation prior to examinations.
• Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely per department protocols.
• Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Maintain competency in all imaging procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
