Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced radiologic technologist for 36 hours per week on the Nights shift at MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care in West Ashley. The role requires high-quality X-ray and CT imaging, patient care, and strict adherence to radiation safety practices.

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required, with ARRT (R) and (C) certification and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration in Radiography (R) and CT (C) is required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in X-ray and CT modalities.
• Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and answer questions to promote understanding and cooperation.
• Verify patient information and ensure appropriate preparation prior to examinations.
• Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely and efficiently per departmental protocols.
• Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Maintain competency in all assigned imaging procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to support timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies.
