Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Emergency and Urgent Care services in Summerville. The role involves performing high-quality X-ray and CT imaging, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and communicating procedures clearly to patients and families.

A 24-hour weekly schedule and day shifts are typical for this part-time position. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of diagnostic imaging and CT experience, ARRT (R) and CT

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in diagnostic imaging and CT.
• Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities.
• ARRT and SCRQSA registrations required (R and C).
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in X-ray and CT.
• Provide patient care ensuring comfort and safety during imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to promote cooperation.
• Verify patient information and pre-exam preparation.
• Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely per protocols.
• Produce accurate diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Maintain competency with imaging procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical team for timely diagnosis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
