Job summary

West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, seeks an Imaging (Radiology) Technologist to perform radiologic procedures with professional judgment and compassion. The role requires an Associate Degree, BLS, and ARRT radiography certification within specified timelines, plus at least two years of imaging experience.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
  • ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of start date.
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • No travel required for this role.
  • Minimum 2 years of imaging experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality images to assist physician diagnosis.
  • Perform radiology procedures in department, portable exams and C-arm as needed.
  • Schedule, plan, and complete service requests with compassionate care.
  • Demonstrate growth and development awareness for patient groups.
  • Stay current with imaging techniques and procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Imaging (Radiology) Technologist, you will perform professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. In this role:
  • You will be responsible for providing to the patient, the proper procedure with excellent quality images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of the patient’s condition or health complaint.
  • You will perform a variety of imaging procedures in the radiology department as well as portable exams and c-arm procedures throughout the hospital.
  • You will be responsible to schedule, plan, implement and complete the request for service and provide a friendly and compassionate environment in keeping with the “care like family” mission of the hospital.
  • You will possess knowledge of growth and development; and have an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.
  • You will be responsible to stay up to date of current techniques and procedures.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
