Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking an Imaging Technical Assistant to transport patients safely within the diagnostic imaging department and support imaging procedures under technologists and radiologists.

You will liaise between technologists and nursing staff, report changes in patient condition, help with room preparation and scheduling, and ensure accurate handoffs and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Health-related field experience 6 months+ preferred.

Responsabilités

• Safely transports patients within the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed during imaging procedures.
• Acts as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs handoffs of care within imaging and hospital units; recognizes abnormal signs.
• Checks documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Prepares rooms with linen and supplies; keeps rooms clean and safe.
• Assists with scheduling and reminder calls to patients.
• Assists in processing lab samples for delivery to the lab.
• Uses information systems effectively.
