Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients to and from the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by Technologists or Radiologists.
• Serves as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs hand-off of care within imaging department and hospital units, reporting abnormal signs or symptoms.
• Checks all documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Assists with preparing rooms, supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• May assist with scheduling procedures and sending appointment reminders.
• Uses information systems as required.
