Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking an Imaging Technologist II specialized in CT and MRI for a full-time night shift. The role involves operating imaging equipment, preparing patients, ensuring image quality, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff.

Strong safety practices and patient communication are essential. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent, and ARRT/CRT/MAMMO certifications with BLS.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulations regarding patient care, fire safety, infection control, disaster plan and emergency codes and procedures.
• Skill in providing computerized tomographic scanner radiographs; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence; ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication or instructions; ability to speak effectively before groups; ability to calculate figures and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment by following manufacturer instructions and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Transfers, positions, and instructs patients regarding procedures.
• Maintains image quality by following standards and adjusting as needed.
• Works with physicians, nurses and health staff in diagnostic testing procedures.
• Practices radiation safety and maintains a safe work environment.
• Prepares room and equipment and explains procedures to patients.
