Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking staff to move patients to and from the Radiology department and assist technologists with workflow. This full-time, day-shift role supports patient-centered care at a Magnet-recognized hospital in Exeter, NH.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, reviewing exam prep info, assisting with transfers, preparing rooms, and communicating across departments. Prior experience and strong customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transportation of patients to, from, and throughout the Radiology department.
• Collect and review patient information in preparation for exams.
• Assist in patient transfer, including lateral transfers to and from stretchers.
• Prepare Radiology rooms by cleaning, stocking, and setting up for exams.
• Handle internal communications via phone, secure messaging, and paging; external via phone, fax, and email.
• Deliver/transports imaging contrast, labs, etc. to appropriate locations.
• Participate in continuous Improvement activities.
• Other tasks as needed.

Under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, is responsible for the movement of patients to and from the imaging department. Responsible for assisting the technologists with flow of the department, to include review of medical records, room turnaround, delivering contrast to the ED/IP units and more.

Requirements

• 1-3 Years Directly Related experience
• High School/GED
• Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills
• Preferred: Enrolled in a healthcare related program, i.e. CNA, medical assistant, etc
