Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a hardware calibration engineer to join our imaging group. You will design and calibrate camera imaging systems, develop testers, and deploy software to calibrate and test imaging modules at global manufacturing sites.

The role requires analyzing large production data, defining calibration workflows, and leading cross-functional teams and external vendors to optimize test equipment and measurement methods.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or imaging optics or related field.
• Experience with image/data processing algorithms and automation software (MATLAB or Python).
• Experience designing metrology systems and calibration software.
• Experience implementing automated test equipment for camera/depth modules.
• Ability to debug hardware using oscilloscope, SMU, DMM, and spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to review schematics, PCB layouts, and test fixtures.
• Experience leading external vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate imaging systems and develop metrics to quantify performance.
• Design, implement and maintain automated test equipment for camera/depth modules.
• Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors to integrate multi-functional test heads.
• Analyze large-volume production data to identify performance trends.
• Provide mentorship on engineering decisions and product design feedback.
