Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks a Display Metrology System Engineer to design and deploy metrology solutions for display modules across the New Product Introduction stages. You will collaborate with HW/SW teams to calibrate, characterize, and validate optical systems.

You will develop ERS, lead vendor collaborations, and bring up production systems while analyzing NPI data and advancing test methodologies. Strong optics, metrology, and scripting in MATLAB and Python are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Optics, Physics, CS, EE or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in metrology of display (OLED, LCD, LED) or other optical products.
Experience in building metrology systems, including software scripting and optical instruments setup.
Experience in display design, characterization, calibration or test; Optical instruments such as CCD/CMOS cameras; Image processing and machine vision.

Responsibilities

Define calibration & test Engineering Requirement Specification (ERS).
Develop calibration and test methodology and solutions.
Design metrology system architecture and derive requirements for optical instruments and fixtures.
Lead the system and key components' development with cross-functional teams.
Integrate SW/HW components and build prototypes for validations.
Deploy and bring up systems in factories during NPI stage.
Analyze NPIs data and create build reports.
Develop station bringup, qualification, audit methods and documents for operations.
