Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be a second year student in an approved Radiologic Technology program; or completed a program and awaiting licensure for up to 6 month required.
• BLS Certification required, will obtain during orientation if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists Techs with imaging exams and performs clerical duties.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care providers.
• Adheres to protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates work assignments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Sets up imaging room for examinations with proper precautions.
• Explains studies to patients and provides information to patients and families.
• Transfers patients safely using appropriate body mechanics.
• Maintains a clean, stocked imaging room.
• Rotates within departments for coverage.
