Job summary

Health First is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support radiologic teams in Palm Bay, FL. You will prepare patients for imaging procedures, help with positioning, and ensure clean, safe exam rooms and properly maintained equipment.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety/regulatory standards, efficient workflow, and clear communication with patients and staff. On-site, full-time position with potential for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.
• Demonstrate effective time management and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a stressful work environment and respond to life threatening situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient positioning assistance working directly under the supervision of the Technologist or Sonographer.
• Transports patients using a stretcher, wheelchair, and beds in accordance with safety procedures and handoff communication processes.
• Ensures all exam rooms and equipment are stocked, disinfected, and ready for the next patient.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, team members and yourself.
• Follows all Federal, State and Regional healthcare regulations and adheres to the Joint Commission standards.
• Ensures accurate and timely assistance to the technologist or sonographer.
• Maintains flexibility, adapts to changes in workflow processes and the needs of Health First based upon fluctuations in patient volume.
• Communicates effectively with customers (patients, LP, other Health First associates, the public, etc.) with excellent customer relation skills.
• Utilizes supplies and equipment with care in a safe, proficient and cost-effective manner.
