Job summary

Uniontown Hospital invites qualified candidates to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The role involves assisting patients, preparing exam tables and supplies, and ensuring accurate demographics and patient data for radiology procedures.

You will support radiologists with image transfer, scheduling, and clerical duties while adhering to infection control policies and safety guidelines. This position is based in Uniontown, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of current medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assists outpatients in changing from street clothes to gowns; transports to appropriate areas and prepares exam tables and supplies.
• Transports and/or transfers images to Radiologist review and ensures correct patient demographics.
• Operates and maintains imaging information systems; enters order data accurately and schedules imaging when requested.
• Maintains infection control practices and keeps areas clean and organized to prevent cross contamination.
• Completes clerical tasks and covers shifts as needed to support departmental needs; prepares paperwork and reports.
• Imports, uploads, and matches patient demographics in PACS and prepares CDs of images.
