Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Radiology Imaging Support Specialist to access, manage, distribute, and input radiology images, orders, and data for our patients, while providing courteous service in radiology waiting areas.

You will work with HIS, PACS, and image workstations, ensure data integrity, assist with CD burning, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies. Shifts include Saturdays and daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to learn and use radiology information systems (HIS/PACS).

Responsibilities

• Uses radiology systems (HIS, PACS, CR, Image Workstations) effectively and accurately.
• Receives outpatients, validates prescriptions, inputs HIS orders, and assists patients during wait times.
• Imports and exports radiology images per OH guidelines.
• Opens, reads, and burns images to a CD for patient or physician release.
• Performs data integrity checks to prevent data loss during transfers.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of policies, system downtime procedures, and problem resolution.
