Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required (No substitution by experience).
• Experience: 0–1 year preferred in hospital/managed care setting or radiology.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and basic radiology equipment is beneficial.
• Skills: Good communication and interpersonal abilities; attention to detail; ability to assist safely with patient positioning and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures; explain the imaging process.
• Prepare and arrange radiology equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) for imaging.
• Help position patients to obtain clear and accurate images.
• Assist radiology technologists with image processing and PACS transfers.
• Transport patients to and from radiology; ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; keep accurate procedure records for medical and billing files.
