Job summary

LMH Health in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist to greet patients, verify data, and manage exam scheduling within the Radiology Information System. You’ll verify orders, handle insurance checks, and assist with releasing images to discs or the cloud, and import outside images into PACS.

We value excellent phone and customer service skills, basic medical terminology knowledge, and comfort with standard office software.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Basic understanding of ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent phone/customer service.
• Proficient use of computer software, telephone systems, and general office equipment.
• Minimum of two years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Completes data entry of the exam into the Radiology Information System accurately.
• Verifies orders are complete and accurate.
• Handles multiple responsibilities at a time including patient inquiries, data entry, imaging compliance, and other support functions.
• Responsible for releasing images via disc and cloud.
• Responsible for importing outside images into PACS.
• Schedules patients for exams over the phone, in person and electronically.
