Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a Radiology Department or health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, imaging procedures, safety, HIPAA, anatomy and physiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room per established procedure.
• Coordinate efficient patient flow through established procedures.
• Assist in collecting quality assurance data.
• Transport patient per guidelines and assist with patient positioning.
• Perform room turnover and restocking.
• Ensure appointment reminder calls are performed per guidelines.
• Document in the medical record accurately and promptly.
• Perform patient interview and documentation.
• Facilitate patient education and resources.
• Assist with coding, referrals and appointment rescheduling as needed.
• Communicate schedule changes to front desk staff to maintain flow.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant and professional conduct.
• Float to other departments as assigned.
• Attend department and/or committee meetings as required.
