Job summary

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital is actively seeking an Imaging Student Extern PRN to gain hands-on experience alongside a dedicated imaging team committed to patient comfort and quality care.

You will prepare patients, assist with positioning, transport between areas, set up imaging rooms, and help maintain a safe, organized imaging suite while learning from experienced technologists.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning; communicate clearly and compassionately.
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly.
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards.

What qualifications you will need:
