Salem Health in Salem, Oregon seeks an Imaging Shift Lead in Diagnostic Radiology to support daily department operations, lead staff, and ensure high-quality patient care. You will act as a resource to staff, physicians, and other departments while promoting professionalism and continuous improvement.

The role combines advanced imaging expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing scheduling, workflow, and performance improvement initiatives to maintain efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.
• ARRT license within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Three to five years of radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while selecting appropriate exposure factors to minimize patient radiation exposure.
• Review completed examinations for accuracy and completeness, obtaining additional information or images when needed.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and educate staff on operation and workflows.
• Oversee the quality of work by technical and ancillary staff to meet standards.
• Coordinate daily workflow, delegate tasks, and manage add-on exam requests for efficient patient flow.
• Serve as a resource for staff, physicians, and other departments and assist with issue resolution.
• Develop and implement staff schedules to maximize efficiency and coverage.
• Support department policies and foster teamwork and professional conduct.
• Provide feedback for employee evaluations and promote responsible resource usage.
