Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience leading a radiology team with supervision and coaching.
• Strong communication with managers and staff; oversight of QA.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance (TJC/NRC).
• Ability to plan staffing, budgets and capital expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper staffing levels and productivity/quality standards.
• Recommends, develops, implements, and maintains QA and Performance Improvement programs.
• Maintains direct communication with Manager, Group Leaders, Technologists, Radiologists, and other departments.
• Provides education and implements policies; monitors room utilization and directs nursing staff.
• Establishes an extensive in-service program for Radiologic Technologists.
• Plans and maintains technical and system changes that benefit patient care.
• Investigates complaints and responds to suggestions in a timely manner.
• Participates in the budget process and operates within allocated budget.
• Initiates and assists in capital acquisitions; maintains supply of operating materials.
• Adheres to all laws and regulations governing Radiology; ensures compliance with TJC and NRC standards.
• Performs HR responsibilities including coaching on performance, reviews, and staffing decisions.
• Ensures compliance with the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for patients across age ranges; applies age-specific care as per policy.
