Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield seeks a seasoned imaging operations leader to onboard, train, and develop technologists and new hires, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with radiologists and departments to optimize imaging services, participate in quality improvement, maintain equipment, and supervise staff while upholding ALARA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ leadership experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience in imaging/radiology operations is a plus.

Job Description:

• Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.


• Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.


• Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services.


• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.


• Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.


• Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.


• Provides day-to-day supervision of technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.


• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.


• Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.


• Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.


• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to prioritize and handle simultaneous assignments with frequent interruptions while paying close attention to the details

• Knowledge of all aspects of diagnostic imaging within the scope of requested procedures for the diagnostic radiology department

• Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians


• Good communication skills, as well as knowledge of department and hospital policies

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND


• Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R)(ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) [Required] OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)[Required] OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) [Required] OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) [Required]


• If Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R)(ARRT)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), then must be accompanied by Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
